PWN Member, Shuva Rahim, to Provide Photography Services for PWN

PWN member, Shuva Rahim, owner and photographer of Accent Photographics, has graciously agreed to document PWN events through photography. Because of Shuva's talents and generosity, we'll be able to share moments from our meetings on our website and through social media! Shuva is a lifestyle photographer in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids and Quad City areas specializing in contemporary business portraits, couples in love and meaningful family relationships. Creating a hands-off, documentary experience for clients, Shuva’s work has taken her throughout Iowa and been featured nationally and overseas.
Shuva uses social media – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest – as a promotional and educational tool for her business and brand on a daily basis. Previously a newspaper reporter for 6 years, she continues writing on her own photography blog – www.shuvarahim.com – and offers blogging and social-media classes for business owners. In addition, she teaches a creativity workshop that focuses on exploration and nurturing of oneself for people looking to be inspired.
Shuva photographed her first wedding in 2004 in the South American nation of Suriname, where she lived for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer. After her service, she moved to Portland, Maine – graduating in 2006 from the photography program at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies. Shuva returned to her home state of Iowa in 2007, and started her photography business a year later. Since 2008 she has photographed more than 50 weddings and events well more than 100 families and business professionals.
